Creamy Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo
A classic, comforting pasta dish with tender chicken and nutritious broccoli in a velvety cream sauce that kids usually love.
Before you start
For extra speed, use pre-cut chicken breast and frozen broccoli florets (which cook directly in the pasta water!).
Cooking instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions. During the last 3 minutes of cooking, add broccoli florets to the pot.
- While pasta cooks, dice chicken breast into 1-inch pieces. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium, pour heavy cream into the skillet, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Drain pasta and broccoli, then add them back to the large pot. Add cooked chicken and Alfredo sauce, tossing gently to combine. Serve immediately, with extra Parmesan if desired.
