Using the Mealime recipes you saved.
Mealime announced that its app would be discontinued on October 21, 2026 and personal data deleted at shutdown. That announced date has passed. Mealime says all its recipes continue in free Meals Hub through Albertsons Companies apps and websites. The steps below are for copies you already saved. We cannot recover deleted account data or promise that old recipe links still work.

Trust principles
Ad-free meal planning, built around family privacy.
Meal-Planner.online is a subscription-funded dinner planning service.
- We do not sell household profile data or place third-party ads inside subscriber meal plans.
- We use hosting, email, payment and AI generation providers only to operate Meal-Planner.online.
Make your saved copies useful
The announced retirement date has passed. These are steps for your saved files, not a way to recover a retired account.
- Step 1. Open the PDFs and screenshots you saved. Check that ingredient quantities, servings and all cooking steps are readable.
- Step 2. Keep a second copy in a folder or storage location you control. A saved link alone is not an offline recipe backup.
- Step 3. Use Mealime’s closing notice to find Meals Hub for its recipe catalogue. Re-enter preferences there where needed; do not assume saved notes or favourites transferred.
- Step 4. Keep your backups somewhere you control. Active Plus can review individual photo/PDF copies through the import pilot; it cannot migrate a Mealime account or recover deleted data.
What the official notice said
Mealime announced its October 21 closure and personal-data deletion. Its notice points to Meals Hub for its recipe catalogue and does not describe an export or automatic transfer of your saved personal layer.

- A printed recipe includes cookware, ingredients and instructions
- Check servings and every cooking step in your saved file
- Do not rely on a shared link staying available after shutdown
Keep favourite dinners on one page
Our free weekly worksheet lets you write dinner names and notes and download the page. Keep your complete PDFs separately. The worksheet does not import recipes, save a recipe collection or calculate ingredient totals.
- No account needed for the worksheet
- No recipe files need to be sent to us
- Store your personal copies somewhere you control
Ready for a private Recipe Book?
Keep your own backups first. Plus can turn individual permitted photos or PDFs into editable recipe previews: review the ingredients, quantities and steps before saving. This is not an automatic Mealime account transfer.
- Create a free profile and confirm your email before choosing Plus
- Recipe Book opens after Plus activation; no need to wait for Saturday
- To keep recipe imports reliable as we grow, Plus currently allows up to 3 recipe uploads per day and 20 per month, with a minute between uploads. An upload counts when its preview is ready to review, even if you do not save it. Failed uploads do not count toward these limits. New imports may pause if our shared processing allowance is used up. Saved recipes and ready previews remain available with active Plus.
- Normal processing deletes temporary originals when the request finishes. Interrupted uploads become eligible for scheduled cleanup once at least 10 minutes old; cleanup attempts run every 5 minutes. A processing or deletion failure may require a retry or support review. Your book stores recipe text and capture details, not an original-file archive. Keep your original files for comparison and backup.
- Saving a recipe does not add it to a weekly plan or grocery list automatically

Common questions
How do I save a recipe in Meal Planner?
Active Plus includes a private Recipe Book for 200 recipes total, including generated favourites and reviewed imports. Save generated dinners with the heart button. The photo/PDF recipe-import pilot accepts one JPEG, PNG or unencrypted PDF at a time: up to 5 MiB and 10 pages. Confirm your upload rights and consent to sending the file to Anthropic. Correct the editable, unverified transcription and explicitly confirm before saving. Keep your original backups. Manual entry, pasted recipes, recipe-link fetching, bulk imports and Mealime account migration are unavailable. We cannot recover deleted Mealime data.
Does Mealime’s notice describe an export?
No export is described in the closing notice checked October 16, 2026. Its help documents printing and sharing. That is not proof that no other option could exist; use Mealime’s own current instructions if they change.
Can I print recipes from the phone app?
Before the announced closure, Mealime’s older help directed recipe printing to its web app and documented iPhone grocery-list printing. Those were pre-closure instructions; use your saved copies now.
Will a saved recipe link still work?
We cannot promise that. A link is a pointer, not an offline copy. Keep readable PDFs or screenshots. Mealime says its recipe catalogue continues in Meals Hub; personal account data is deleted at shutdown.
