Mealime transition · checked October 7, 2026
Choose the dinner routine that replaces Mealime for you.
Mealime says its app will be discontinued on October 21, 2026. Its recipes and planning tools continue through free Meals Hub in Albertsons Companies apps and websites. If you are comparing alternatives, start with the work you want a service to do each week: collecting recipes, choosing dinners or preparing the plan for your household.
A useful replacement fits the way you plan, shop and cook. This comparison is written by Meal-Planner.online about its own service.
Trust principles
Ad-free meal planning, built around family privacy.
Meal-Planner.online is a subscription-funded dinner planning service. We do not sell household profile data or place third-party ads inside subscriber meal plans. We use service providers, including hosting, email, payment, and AI generation providers, only to operate Meal-Planner.online.
How to use this plan
- Read Mealime’s official transition FAQ, including the free Meals Hub option.
- Identify whether your priority is a saved recipe library or a fresh weekly household plan.
- Preview the actual output and billing terms before choosing a paid service.
What Mealime says will happen
Mealime’s official FAQ confirms the October 21 closure, the end of further Pro subscription charges, and the move of its recipe library to free Meals Hub. Meals Hub can still provide browsing, plans and shopping lists without a nearby Albertsons store. Some preferences and settings must be established in Meals Hub.

Compare the work you want to hand off
A recipe organizer suits people who want to collect and choose their own recipes. A prepared weekly service suits people who want the next set of dinners organized around their household. Both approaches can work; the difference is where you want to spend planning time.

How Meal Planner fits a Canadian household
Meal-Planner.online lets you record household size, foods to avoid, dinner styles, grocery budget ranges, stores and busy-night notes. An active subscriber receives a private weekly dinner plan scheduled for Saturday. Public samples let you inspect the format first.
- Monthly subscription: $5 CAD
- Annual subscription: $50 CAD
- Renews on the selected billing interval until cancelled; applicable taxes may be added
- Eligible private-plan subscribers can review grocery-list matches in Instacart where supported; grocery purchases are separate
Know what does not transfer
Meal-Planner.online is an independent service. It does not import a Mealime account, favorites or recipe library, and it is not affiliated with Mealime or Albertsons Companies. Meal Planner uses AI generation shaped by your saved profile; it does not reproduce the Mealime recipe catalog.
- Create a new dinner profile
- Check a public sample to judge the recipe format
- Review generated recipes and ingredient choices
- Use household notes to explain what works at your table
Judge the weekly plan itself before choosing a new dinner routine.
